- Session 1 - Iron Age Climate in the Central Mediterranean
This session welcomes presentation of new paleoclimatic proxy records for the Central Mediterranean from continental and marine archives with high resolution, as well as review and comparison of existing records or climate models of the region.
- Session 2 - Landscape and vegetation
This session intends to present information on past vegetation changes and landscape evolution, focusing especially on Central Tyrrhenian Italy but also welcoming studies of adjacent regions with a focus on the Iron Age. We hope to present a diversity of approaches.
- Session 3 - Human-environment relationships
The third session covers historical and archaeological studies of human-environmental relationships, again focusing on Central Italy, but with an eye towards the wider region. Papers may consider cases of how settlement and urbanism impacted upon resource-use and vice versa, or how Iron Age communities built resilience and developed practices of environmental management over time.
